The Evangelho Vineyard is one of the most special vineyards on the planet, and there are few superlatives that truly pay it justice. Situated between a Burger King and a PG&E plant, acres of beachy sand are speckled with 140-year-old, head-trained Carignane vines. These little bushes thrive here, creating supple, flavorful grapes year after year.
It’s hard to imagine a more tempting wine than the Evangelho Vineyard Carignane. A stunning ruby red color in the glass, this wine exudes gorgeous aromas of nutmeg, pomegranate, caramel and dark berries. Bright fruit and raspberry sorbet fill the mouth and intermix with playful tannins. You'll find a bit of butterscotch on the end and a long, wonderful finish.
