From vintage to vintage, the absolute jammiest fruit we have is the Frediani Vineyard Petite Sirah. It reminds us of being kids again – eating fresh blackberries (aromatic, juicy and pure) from a tangle down near the river, on a midsummer’s day. So, if a pocketful of memories and a palate full of purity is what you desire, this is your wine.
The 2016 vintage is completely sold out, so make sure to get your hands on as much 2017 as you can. You'll want to decant this powerhouse of a wine for at least an hour prior to enjoying if opening now, or lay it down and get excited to see what it will become in 2-5 years — it's a massive wine with lots of grippy and rugged tannins. After opening up, you'll find notes of blueberry and blackberry, yeast, and muted butterscotch on the nose followed by brambleberry pie, young plum, and those fantastic tannins on the palate.
