He knows everything there is to know about the farmin’ business. His Calistoga vineyard sits across the valley floor and basks in the harsh daytime sun before temperatures plummet at night. These variances stress our little Grenache friends, but it makes them stronger, more robust, and a bit more intense than your typical Grenache.

The 2018 Grenache is a beautiful classic example of valley floor Grenache from Napa Valley. The fragrant red berry forwardness of the wine is bursting with aromas of rhubarb, strawberries, and raspberries. Notes of vanilla, rose petals, and white pepper follow closely behind the fruit on the nose. 

On the palate, the Grenache embodies a lighter-bodied mouthfeel and excites the taste buds with pomegranate, strawberry, and cranberry. The acidic backbone makes it an ideal wine in food pairings with slow-roasted lamb, pork, and braised meats. It can also be enjoyed chilled down a touch to cellar temperature and enjoyed in a sangria-like fashion. Ideal for lighter-bodied wine lovers and a great alternative to Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Pinotage.
