2018 STARS LIKE OURS, ROSÉ, CALIFORNIA
Sometimes, dreams really do come true. Your favorite rosé is back for another season, and we think it's the best one yet. Enjoy aromas of fresh-cut watermelon, strawberry and rose petal wrapped around bright notes of citrus peel and mint. On the palate, you'll be sucked in by flavors of white peach, mouth-watering strawberry, subtle citrus and a touch of green melon. Bright tangy acidity and clean minerality make this wine lively, playful and delicious. Stars Like Ours features an old family photograph taken on a trip to Southern California in the 1930's. A small cluster of cutout stars show the unique color of the wine and shine brighter with every glass. Coincidence that we also feel brighter as we consume the wine? We think not.
2017 AIRWAVES, WHITE WINE, CALIFORNIA
Now presenting Airwaves, a bodacious California White Wine from the hit-masters at TGW. The moment Airwaves hits your lips, you'll be transported beachside in the summertime, watching the swell listening to some tunes on your classic AM radio. Zesty aromas of lemon, lime and orange blossoms lay the way for ripe green melon, pineapple, and green apple that ride across your palate like surfers on the perfect wave.
2017 PETTY CASH, WHITE WINE, NAPA VALLEY
When we set out to do something, we tend to do it with a little flash, a bit of boldness and a lot of swagger. This time, we decided to add some bling. Back in the day, petty cash was kept on hand for small incidental business costs like buying milk, coffee for the staff, or postage stamps for the office. Some of these vintage coin boxes were super flamboyant with rich gold tones and sparkling rhinestones. With that type of style, you'd assume these bad boys would hold more than scratch change and a few 20s. We'd like to think the petty cash box of today might carry on with this design trend but serve as keepers of f*ck you money instead of spare coins to grab your boss a new stapler. Inspired by a gold-foiled 1960's petty cash box that would make Elvis swoon, we set out to create a wine that was cool, crisp and rich. Stashed inside you'll find flavors of tropical fruit, guava, pineapple, and apples. 50% Vermentino, 32% Verdelho, 15% Grüner Veltliner, and 3% Gewürztraminer, this wine is round and supple, with lush textures balanced by fresh acidity. Pure MONEY $$$.
BACKSTAGE PASS, NAPA VALLEY, RED WINE
This wine is sultry and spicy with just a hint of smoke–just like what we imagine it would be like backstage at our favorite concert circa 1981. Backstage pass is an homage to the days of hazy back-rooms, elaborate spreads, and debauchery. Of when Rock ‘N Roll ruled the world, and that silk screened pass was your golden ticket to meeting your idol. We took our favorite lots from the past few vintages to create this brooding masterpiece. The moment this wine hits your palate, it bursts with ripe cherries, licorice, and a hint of blackberry. Each bottle features one of four unique labels from some of the most legendary venues in and around America.
2016 LORDS OF THE BOULEVARD, RED WINE, NAPA VALLEY
We were young, broke, and reckless, but we ruled this town. Throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, American youth was restless and hell-bent. They street-raced fast cars, made out at the drive-in, and had cooler hair then you'll ever have. The tattooed, smoking greasers of the time patrolled the boulevards and were iconic of America's own adolescence. We've long been fans of photographer Joseph Sterling's work during this time, which perfectly captures the nostalgic exuberance and naiveté of the era. As Sterling explained, "The world of the adolescent is totally interlaced within itself and incapable of freeing itself...It whirls, rolls, and engulfs what it is allowed to engulf." A blend of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, Lords of the Boulevard is also engulfing. With opening aromas of leather, tobacco, and dried figs, this wine unravels on the palate with rich, earthy notes, complex texture and grippy tannins. Finishing with notes of cocoa, blackberry, and a hint of strawberry, you can expect to savor this bad boy until the very last drop.
2016 LOVE NOW MORE THAN EVER, RED WINE, CALIFORNIA
We're just tired of it. Tired of what? The “it” we are speaking of are the terrible tragedies that stem from senseless acts of hate and violence that continue to creep into our world. There seems to be a lot of darkness and a disconnect of humanity right now that is widening and quite frankly, it pisses us off. So today, we have a simple message that we wish to share with you. And that message is…Choose love. Choose positivity. Spread kindness. Say hello to that person you pass on the sidewalk every day. Open the door for someone. Tell your people you love them. You may not be able to single-handedly change the world, but if you can make just one person’s day just one bit brighter, then do it. Because in a time where it seems like everything is falling apart, it’s time to Love Now More Than Ever. On November 8th, 2018, Alaina Housley and 11 others lost their lives to an act of senseless violence in the Thousand Oaks, California shooting at Borderline Bar. Alaina grew up in the Napa Valley, and because of the kindness and beauty she showed to those around her during her 18 years, she left a lasting mark on her community that will never be forgotten. While she is gone in body, her voice of song, strength, spirit, and change lives on and reminds us to live a life lead and guided by human kindness. As part of our Tank Cares initiative, we will be donating a portion of the proceeds from our Love Now More Than Ever wine to Alaina's Voice, a foundation advocating for mental health initiatives and scholarships for youth. Love Now More Than Ever is a blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Syrah, Charbono, and Grenache that comes together in one of our favorite blends to date. Intense, juicy, and dark with velvety tannins, this is a wine meant to be shared with the ones you love.
