The Evangelho Vineyard isn't just old, it's sacred. The last of its kind, this vineyard has been around since the late 1800s and is regarded as one of the best in the state, if not one of the most special vineyards on the planet. T-Vine is lucky enough to score fruit from these head-trained Carignane vines and we do not take this luck for granted. Carignane vines thrive here, creating supple, flavorful grapes year after year. Taste through this vertical to see for yourself and find your favorite.
This vertical includes one bottle from each vintage we've made of Carignane:
2013 - Our inaugural 2013 vintage. Flirtatious aromas of floral and blueberry notes. On the palate, expect a jazzy-smooth and refined wine with blueberry, bright cherry, and soft, peppery flavors.
2014 - Exudes gorgeous aromas of cherry, licorice, spices and dark florals along with tart black raspberry. Cherry, fresh currants, boysenberry, and black-plum-skin flavors meet with white pepper and lavender touches. The very expressive concentration of fruit mixes with bright flavors of medium acid and dusty tannins.
2015 - Notes of bright raspberry, roses, coarse spices and cranberry on the nose. Beaming cherry laced with eastern spices ramble on the palate while showing off medium acid and textured tannins. Savor the wonderful length on the finish.
2016 - Savor aromas of nutmeg, pomegranate, caramel, and a mixture of dark berries. Bright fruit and raspberry sorbet fill the mouth and intermix with playful tannins. You'll find a bit of butterscotch on the end and a long, juicy finish.
