Recently, we unearthed a few library bottles of our 2010 Old Vine Zinfandel, and what a delight! We were elated to find a charming evolution take place in the bottle over its years of cellaring.
After decanting for 20 minutes and allowing the wine to open up and breathe, we were thrilled to see the natural spice quality that is paramount in quality Zinfandel immediately unveil itself along with notes of brambleberry, cedar, ripe raspberry, licorice, cloves, pepper, and kirsch. Still fresh and exotic after 10 years with wonderful textures and bright acidity, this is a wine to be enjoyed now and to reflect back on the last 10 years with pleasure and raise a toast to what we have all become.
