Five years ago our good friend Kelly Maher—who just happens to be a world-renowned viticulturist and a hell of a guy—turned us on to Jim Paras's 4-acre vineyard atop Mt. Veeder. Sitting at 1,100 feet, this sub-region is one of the coolest in Napa Valley and allow grapes to slowly develop, giving them crisp acidity and electric fruitiness.
