2016 Lords of the Boulevard, Red Wine, Napa Valley

We were young, broke, and reckless, but we ruled this town.

Throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, American youth was restless and hell-bent. They street-raced fast cars, made out at the drive-in, and had cooler hair then you'll ever have. The tattooed, smoking greasers of the time patrolled the boulevards and were iconic of America's own adolescence.

We've long been fans of photographer Joseph Sterling's work during this time, which perfectly captures the nostalgic exuberance and naiveté of the era. As Sterling explained, "The world of the adolescent is totally interlaced within itself and incapable of freeing itself...It whirls, rolls, and engulfs what it is allowed to engulf."

A blend of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, Lords of the Boulevard is also engulfing. With opening aromas of leather, tobacco, and dried figs, this wine unravels on the palate with rich, earthy notes, complex texture and grippy tannins. Finishing with notes of cocoa, blackberry, and a hint of strawberry, you can expect to savor this bad boy until the very last drop.

A balanced, bold red! We are big fans of Cab Sauv and the big daddy Cab Franc - and this will not disappoint!

This was the star of our tasting- had to bring some home. Drinks well beyond the price point. Get this if you love bordeaux styles. Earthy and austere.

This was a fantastic bold Cab blend. I loved the Tank Garage story and feeling when visiting Napa and for them to produce a wine of this caliber is awesome. Now I not only love what they do and what they are about, I think I have found my new favorite Red. Must try!!!

I love bold red’s. I was a fan of “All or Nothing” and was trying to find a replacement. This one is really great! More bold than the other but very very tasty and therefore I’ve bought several more.

This was absolutely delicious and my favorite of the few we’ve tried. Definitely excited to try more of these awesome wines. Love their art labels too! A definite stop when we visit in June!

Tank is by far my favorite Napa winery (winery anywhere, really!) and Lords of the Boulevard is one of my favorites out of everything I've ordered since joining the MADE club 2 years ago. It's a versatile red blend that pairs really well with just about anything. I love sharing Tank wine with friends, especially this one!

Another smashing success from the "wunder kinder" at Tank. The label alone is a fair reminder of them days and the wine will help some to remember those day. Kudos to the wine maker.

Really nice blend at a reasonable price. Light on the tannins. Would buy it again

Originally popped this open for a virtual brunch (eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Totally not healthy, still super delicious). It paired really well, full, and earthy on the palate with a long finish.

Wow! A really great blend of my favorite varietals. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Petite Sirah, 5% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc Too bad it’ll be gone forever soon just like All or Nothing.

One of Tank's best yet. Reminds me a little of the previous All or Nothing release. Bold, dry, and will pair well with almost anything. I have already placed two additional orders (one for me and one as a gift).

This was my favorite of the spring release. I loved it so much that I've already reordered several additional bottles.
