Turkeys can't be trusted, but you know what can? Our kick-ass winemaking team. So when they had an idea for a "turkey" wine, we said go for it. And go for it they did.
Blending 60% Sangiovese with 40% Gewürztraminer, Jive Turkey was born. Light ruby in color and mouth-watering with a touch of acidity, this pairs with Thanksgiving dinner better than gravy on mashed potatoes. Get ready 'cause you'll want to drink it all day long.
But, wait. There's more. This wine's not just about the turkey. It's a pure reflection of the minds behind the blends, how we never stop dreaming and why the crazy ideas are always the best ones. Bring in the Gremlin...
American Motors debuted the Gremlin in 1970 with a design and name that made it "cute or controversial", depending on personal outlook. Execs were confident enough in the car not to worry that the Gremlin name might have negative connotations — they knew that no one would pay attention if it looked and felt like everything else. It was an essentially perfect addition to the free-thinking '70s.
We feel quite connected to this beast of the past and its rebellious beginnings. Each wine we produce starts with radical ideas and uncompromising creativity where we may deviate from the norm and piss a few people off. But, if we didn't, who would take notice? We don't want to be like the rest of those jive turkeys out there. Do you?
No regrets. Except we only made 78 cases.
