2020 Mermaids & Motorcycles, White Wine, Sierra Foothills
A blend of 54% Verdelho, 29% Godello and 17% Treixadura, Mermaids & Motorcycles is a Galacian-inspired white wine here to make your daydreams a reality.
Looking for the perfect wine for your next beach day? Look no further. On the nose, this wine reminds us of wet rocks after a spring rain. The palate is creamy yet bright with those lemon curd and dole-whip vibes with a touch of salinity. We have no doubt this is a bottle you’ll be reaching for time and time again this summer. Whether you are shucking oysters or grilling up your fresh catch of the day, Mermaids & Motorcycles screams for a seafood pairing.
2019 Marlenas from Reseda, Red Wine, Sierra Foothills
A fun, stylish wine, we blended together 50% Graciano, 44% Syrah, 6% Viognier, and plenty of good vibes, to create a red wine that everybody will dig, just like Marlena.
For us, it was love at first sight once we saw the shimmery garnet hues and tasted the cherry bomb flavors. Inhale violets, mulberry, and cedar. Exhale worry. As it transitions in the glass, like summer to fall, allspice and white pepper transform into a liquified cherry Jolly Rancher that rides on ‘til morning. Gonna pair with some carne asada street tacos and just chill for a while.
2018 American Hardcore, Red Wine, Napa Valley
This blend is all about the Petite Sirah, which comprises 85% of the bottle. Though this grape is named for its smaller berries, it’s known to produce big, brooding wines. Between the petite berries that concentrate color and flavor, and the thick skins that create a fuck-ton of tannins, Petite Sirah is our goto variety when we want to make a statement.
The Petite Sirah enhances a dark purple color and abounding blueberry and sugarplum aromas. The juice hits your mouth with ferocity, showcasing the powerful flavors and tannins we warned you about. Just oodles of blueberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, black tea, and a hint of black licorice and spice. The complementing grape varieties do a wonderful job supporting the power and tannins from the Petite Sirah with a round mouthfeel and tantalizing finish. It’s sooo good. For a food pairing, go equally big, with barbecued meats or stuffed peppers.
