2016 Black Sears Zinfandel
There’s no question about it: The Black Sears Vineyard is pretty mind-blowing. Perched at just around 2,400 feet of elevation on Howell Mountain, it’s a sight to be seen. Rich volcanic soil, cool Pacific breeze and craggy old vines dating back to 1975 make this vineyard THE place to grow hardy Zinfandel.

The 2016 vintage may be our fullest-bodied and most structured Zinfandel yet. The color of a dark garnet jewel with aromas of cool forest floor, black pepper, tobacco, and a touch of cherry rushing out of the glass. Velvety and opulent across the palate, this mouthwatering Zinfandel bursts with flavors of ripe blackberry, cloves, nutmeg, and mixed berry pie. Perfect for a night by the bonfire or pairing with braised short ribs.

2015 Frediani Vineyard Petite Sirah
From vintage to vintage, the absolute jammiest fruit we have is the Frediani Vineyard Petite Sirah. It reminds us of being kids again – eating fresh blackberries (aromatic, juicy and pure) from a tangle down near the river, on a midsummer’s day. So, if a pocketful of memories and a palate full of purity is what you desire, this is your wine.

Dark and delicious, the 2015 Calistoga Petite Sirah brings together everything you could possibly want in a wine. We’re talking about deep aromas of concentrated dark berries, cracked white pepper, cumin, cedar, and natural sandalwood. Its rich fruit flavors and plush texture commandeer every inch of your palette with effortlessly integrated tannins, a bit of spice and loads of juicy fruit. Elegant and balanced, this wine is straight-up stupendous.

2011 Napa Valley Mixed Blacks, Oak Glade Vineyard
Alex Vyborny’s tiny Oak Glade vineyard is a museum of cuttings from Napa Valley’s heritage vineyards. Seemingly planted with little rhyme or reason, this jungle of a vineyard includes Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignagne, Malvasia Nera and a few others we have yet been able to identify. We pick and ferment them all together and blend them into our Mixed Blacks.

The 2011 vintage is spectacular. Dark in color with aromas of blueberries, dried herbs and loads of minerality. Complex on the palate, with juicy dark fruit, pepper and BBQ spice rub notes, this beauty finishes strong and long.
